Modern Carpentry: A Practical Manual
Originally published in 1902, this is a reprint of the 1917 edition. At the time of publication it was described as: "A new and complete guide containing hundreds of quick methods for performing work in carpentry, joining and general woodwork, written in a simple, every-day style that does not bewilder the workingman, illustrated with hundreds of diagrams which are especially made so that anyone can follow them without difficulty." For anyone doing traditional carpentry, that description is equally valid today. Fred T. As such, this book represents the largest compilation of timeline events associated with Carpentry when it is used in proper noun form. Webster's timelines cover bibliographic citations, patented inventions, as well as non-conventional and alternative meanings which capture ambiguities in usage.
